I was thinking while reading this that reading this is so natural. I can’t believe I haven’t read it before. I’m reading like I’m re-reading: I know everything and then she points it out and there’s the lighthouse. There’s the situation about the table to point to / “some one had blundered” / all the things to say. (& always knowing what to say to what is said). There’s the little ribbon of story getting so small in relation to all that writing. There’s lyric and literal time knitting what happened into itself. To the Lighthouse! Fucking unbelievably superb!
