My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This ode to natural sciences really spread out on the page. It took me about 15 minutes to read all 77 pages and I’m a pretty slow reader. Spanning the creation of the earth to its burgeoning wildlife, it was a macro-topic which is a nice change from of the micro-stuff I’m always reading. Was also some neat word combinations like “luminescent worms” to describe stars and the “molecular Conversations of plants.” However, macro means that it did skim over a fairly large surface without getting too tuned in. It lacked the kind of rigor I usually look for in poems/thinking. But all-in-all a nice lunchtime book.
