Yo/Hello/You
Hello and thanks for visiting. I’m Dawn Pendergast and have been blogging (meh for using ”blogging” as a verb) for around 10 years now. Since I started writing I’ve been at this and now that I think about it, it’s a little absurd. Since I’ve set up wordpress (Ok Jimmy set it up) I’ve been trying to condense all the blogs across all the years into one place. So you’ll find stuff written all over the place, from Atlanta to New York to Tucson to Houston to Milledgeville. It’s all here and makes me wince a little. But I figure cumulation might be my only recourse against the unaccountable years I’ve been tooling around. Here’s the facts about me:
I work for Aniden Interactive, tho most of my day is spent at HP’s Industrial Design Department where I’m a project manager.
I just moved back to Houston where I’m happier than I thought I’d be. There’s more going on than you’d think and I try to share some of the high points.
I’ve got a MA in Performance Studies and an MFA in Creative Writing. The only place I use those degrees is this blog.
There’s a lot of things that I like, but I’m not going to list them here. I’m a better reader than I am a writer and use this blog mainly to rant about books that I like and don’t. I’m currently trying to finish writing poems about Job and poems about fish but end up with a smattering of one-offs that take no direction at all. Please drop me a comment if you have any questions/suggestions/objections. I don’t get enough of those.
